WASHINGTON, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- David Braverman today joined the investment division of ICMA-RC as Vice President, Equity. Braverman will oversee ICMA-RC's equities program. He will be responsible for selecting and monitoring external managers, supervising ICMA-RC staff regarding equity investments, and making contributions toward strategic and business planning, and asset allocation.

Braverman reports to Wicker who welcomed him to the team. He said his substantial experience in managing equity portfolios would be an excellent addition to the ICMA-RC, which currently manages and administers more than $31.5 billion in assets.
Most recently Braverman was vice president of the Investment Advisory Services Division at Standard & Poor's, where he led a group that provided asset allocation and management of fund of funds relationships with several large clients. He also created strategies used in unit investment trusts and structured notes. From 1998 to 2002, Braverman served on the committee that selects stocks for various S&P indexes, including the S&P 500.
Braverman holds an MBA in Finance from Adelphi University and is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is also a CFA charter holder.
