D. Hayes Clement Retires from Piedmont Natural Gas Board

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Thomas E. Skains, Chairman, President and CEO of Piedmont Natural Gas NYSE: PNY announced the retirement of D. Hayes Clement from the Board at today's Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. Clement has been a member of Piedmont's Board since 2000 and served as Chair of the Board's Audit Committee and as a member of the Compensation Committee. He retired effective today pursuant to the Company's mandatory director retirement age policy.
