NEW YORK, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- With Mother's Day -- and Mom's celebratory breakfast in bed -- just around the corner, Loews Hotels offers kids (and dads) fresh new recipes guaranteed to spark smiles from every kind of mom. Whether she is sweet or smart, busy or adventurous (or all of the above), Loews has a recipe just for her culled from the Breakfast at Loews menus from around the country.
To help select which recipe best suits mom, Loews surveyed 300 kids at the Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando to determine how they would describe their mom, and based on the findings, have matched Breakfast at Loews recipes accordingly.
For example, more than a third (35%) of children surveyed considered their mom the "World's Sweetest Mom" -- making her a perfect candidate for Tahitian French Toast a l'Orange, a breakfast staple at Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Nearly one quarter (24%) of kids thought their mom was the "World's Busiest;" for them, Loews suggests The Loews Regency's Power Breakfast Shake.
Other kids voted their moms "World's Most Adventurous Mom" (16%), "World's Smartest Mom" (15%) and "World's Best Homemaker" (10%). Chef recommendations for these world-class moms include:
* World's Most Adventurous Mom: Chilaquiles (scrambled eggs served with
tortilla chips, chicken and ranchero sauce) at Loews Coronado Beach
Resort;
* World's Smartest Mom: Sweet Sushi at the Loews Santa Monica;
* World's Best Homemaker: Mini Pancakes with Tropical Fruit Salad at the
Loews Miami Beach.
The children surveyed also revealed that the best times they share with mom are spent vacationing, shopping and baking cookies. Only 8% of kids surveyed felt that doing homework with mom was a good time.
Mom's culinary skills were confirmed when nearly 70% of kids surveyed said if given an egg, their mom would scramble it, boil it or bake a batch of brownies. Thirteen percent of kids said mom would dye Easter eggs and 10% thought mom would start juggling.
When asked where they'd send mom for a special trip, 38% said they'd send her packing to the beach or pool with a good book. A combination museum and shopping trip came in second with 21% of the vote, while tennis and golf resorts appealed to 18% of those surveyed. Kids of those adventurous moms said they'd send her to climb a mountain and camp out under the stars (13%) while 10% would opt for a yoga retreat.
All 18 Loews hotels and resorts will be offering a special brunch menu this Mother's Day.
