From October 31 - November 2, the Seattle Center's Key Arena hosted the world's elite action sports pros in Skateboarding, BMX, Inline Skating and Freestyle Motocross. These men and women gathered in "Emerald City" for the first time to compete in the crown jewel of action sports competitions and determined the season-ending champion of 2008.

The LG Action Sports World Championships offered three days of competition featuring 175 of the top action sports superstars, including a host of X Games and World Champions. These athletes thrilled fans with tricks that defy gravity, while vying for their share of the $600,000 prize purse and the esteemed title of LG Action Sports World Champion.

Only the best athletes in the industry were invited to compete for these honors, based on their event results throughout the 2008 season. The megastars already qualified for the event represented a host of countries, making this a truly international contest. They included: Bucky Lasek (USA), Bob Burnquist (Brazil), Dave Mirra (USA), Ryan Nyquist (USA), Jamie Bestwick (England), Pierre-Luc Gagnon (Canada), Paul Rodriguez (USA), Takeshi Yasutoko (Japan), Jake Brown (Australia), Daniel Dhers (Venezuela) and Fabiola da Silva (Brazil).

In addition to featuring the biggest names in action sports, ticket holders were treated to full concerts from top musical acts during each ticketed session on the Maxell music stage.
