Kazakhstan's Largest Telecom Operator Selects Amdocs to Support Its Delivery of Next-Generation Services

ST. LOUIS, May 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) , the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Kazakhtelecom, the largest telecom operator in Kazakhstan, has selected Amdocs billing and mediation solutions to support the successful delivery of next- generation services. The implementation of Amdocs Charging 7 and Amdocs Service Mediation Manager 7 will enable Kazakhtelecom to offer modern, differentiated services and service bundles to meet the growing market demands of its customers.

With Amdocs Charging 7, Kazakhtelecom will have an integrated and unified billing system that can support all of its services and lines of business including fixed lines, Internet, IP, and wireless. Amdocs Product Catalog as a part of Amdocs Charging 7 can also support the development of new services such as VoIP and IPTV. Additionally, the new billing system will enable the company to bundle services more easily than with its previous billing system.

The new mediation system will transform Kazakhtelecom's network data into business information, providing a complete view of network services-related information. Amdocs Service Mediation Manager supports mediation processes for all data and content services as well as next-generation service assurance and revenue assurance, allowing for greater business agility and enhanced business value.

"We were looking for solutions that would enable us to maintain our market leadership and provide us with the necessary support to successfully introduce next-generation services to our customers," said Marat Abdildabekov, CIO and Director of Department of Information at Kazakhtelecom. "We selected Amdocs' billing and mediation solutions because they not only provide the capabilities to help us focus on revenue enhancing activities, but they also enable us to deliver a superior customer experience."

Amdocs Service Mediation Manager 7 is pre-integrated with Amdocs Charging 7 to create a unified network-to-bill process that guarantees an accurate flow of information from mediation to billing. Both products are featured in the recently launched Amdocs 7 suite, the first industry-specific software suite that allows service providers to profit from a low-risk evolution to next- generation networks and convergent services, while dramatically lowering their costs of operations.

"From established to rapidly emerging markets, service providers worldwide recognize that flexible and scalable systems are vital to the successful delivery of next-generation services," said Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs. "Amdocs' billing and mediation systems will ensure that Kazakhtelecom improves its competitive advantage by better understanding and meeting the evolving needs of its customers."
