DataPath Expands Corporate Management Team and Realigns Sales Organization

DULUTH, Ga., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- DataPath, Inc., a provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, today announced several executive appointments that expand its Corporate Management Team (CMT) and a realigned sales organization to better meet the needs of the company's customers. Effective immediately, Steve Lindeman, currently the vice president and general manager of the DataPath Software business unit, assumes additional responsibilities as the vice president of worldwide sales. Additional recent changes to the CMT include: Jim Modak joined DataPath as vice president and chief financial officer; Joan Seavey was named vice president and chief administrative officer; Larry Bolterstein was named vice president of corporate development; and Ann Haehn was named vice president of strategy.

To his new role as vice president of worldwide sales, Lindeman brings extensive experience leading world-class sales organizations for two larger companies before joining DataPath. Prior to joining DataPath, he was the sales leader for IBM's Tivoli Performance Automation solutions. He has also served as the vice president of sales and services in the Americas for Candle Corp., and he ran Candle's worldwide consulting and professional services organization for several years. Earlier in his career, Lindeman held positions at Oracle Corp. and AT&T. Under his direction, DataPath will consolidate the sales teams from its Systems Integration, Software and Integrated Logistics Support business units into a single organization to improve its focus on end- to-end solutions and support the development of the company's global sales infrastructure, processes and resources.

Jim Modak, vice president and chief financial officer, currently oversees the company's Financial Services organization, including the finance, accounting and ERP implementation functions. In his career before DataPath, he served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer of DWL, an enterprise software company; was a partner in Armada Venture Group; and worked as chief financial officer of TRADEX Technologies, Inc., Logility, Inc., and American Software. He has more than 27 years of financial experience in both public and private organizations.

Joan Seavey, vice president and chief administrative officer, is responsible for Corporate Services, adding oversight for information technology, facilities, human resources and security to her leadership of corporate marketing and communications. Previously, she was vice president of worldwide marketing and communications for Candle Corp. Prior to Candle, Seavey was president of The Partnership Works, a consulting company specializing in information technology marketing programs. A 20-year IBM veteran, she most recently served there as vice president of communications for IBM North America.

Larry Bolterstein, vice president of corporate development, now identifies and leverages strategic business opportunities and acquisitions, and oversees corporate compliance. He was previously chief financial officer of DataPath, and prior to that he has worked as principal and chief financial officer of Worldwide Capital, Inc.; president and chief executive officer of Alliance Services, LLC; and managing director for LAB Consulting. Bolterstein has also held senior-level executive positions at the following companies owned by Wesray Capital Corp.: The Regina Company as president, vice president and chief financial officer; Atlas Van Lines as vice president and chief financial officer; and Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex as corporate controller.

Ann Haehn, vice president of strategy, now has oversight for strategic planning; annual business planning; analysis and recommendations for mergers, acquisitions and business partnerships; and balanced scorecard implementation. She previously oversaw product management, product marketing and business planning for DataPath. Before joining the company, she was program director for market management at IBM, where she was responsible for driving strategic initiatives within one of IBM's major software brands. She also served as senior director of program management and business development at Candle Corp. and held executive positions at BearingPoint Consulting (formerly KPMG) and MCI WorldCom.
