The Advisory Board members' duties will include weighing in on the property's planned amenities, as well as introducing individuals to the unique lifestyle of Sheridan Ridge. Each Advisory Board member will have a vacation home on the property, and driver, Tony Stewart is eager for Sheridan Ridge to be a getaway from the track.

"I spend the majority of my life on the road so when I do get a couple of free days to myself, it's great to be able to retreat to a place where I can relax and do all the things I enjoy," Stewart said. "Sheridan Ridge will be the perfect place for me. I'm looking forward to inviting friends up to hang out, ride ATVs and enjoy the amazing views from the trails and my front door."

The Sheridan Ridge Private Reserve community will be comprised of architecture and amenities reflecting the community influence of adventure and motorsports. Given the close proximity to four NASCAR tracks -- Bristol Motor Speedway, Richmond International Raceway, Martinsville Speedway and Lowe's Motor Speedway -- the location of the property offers easy access for fans and employees of the motorsports industry.

Project CEO, Mark Martin, who coincidentally shares his name with the legendary NASCAR driver, believes this will be a community catering not only to NASCAR fans but a broad range of individuals and families seeking an escape from the hustle of everyday life. The Sheridan Ridge atmosphere will create opportunities for guests and owners to interact with all Southwest Virginia has to offer in music, art, history and a small town atmosphere.

"We are thrilled to have this great group of NASCAR celebrities advising aspects of our planned community," Martin said. "These individuals embody the Sheridan Ridge ideal of seeking a unique way of living based on the importance of comfort, adventure, family and friends. Our community is completely unique in its approach to the integration of the motorsports aspect, while still offering an incredible atmosphere for a broad range of residents and their interests."

Sheridan Ridge will also introduce interested individuals around the country to the beauty of Southwest Virginia. The region, which has never seen a project of this magnitude, will benefit from the economic boost that will accompany the development of the project.
