Lunch With A Leader(R) Allows Bidders to Have the Lunch of a Lifetime With Top Sports Stars

WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- From the front office to the playing field, some of the American sports industry's biggest names are donating their time to help kids stay in school. Current and former Super Bowl champions New York Giants' Antonio Pierce and Seattle Seahawks' Shaun Alexander; NASCAR driver Scott Riggs; and Arizona Diamondbacks President Derrick Hall, are just three of the top names in sports to be auctioned off during the sixth annual Lunch With A Leader online celebrity auction. The auction, which runs February 8 - 18 on eBay, benefits Communities In Schools, Inc., the nation's largest dropout prevention organization.

Lunch with a Leader puts you right on the gridiron when you bid on New York Giants' linebacker Antonio Pierce or Seattle Seahawks' running back Shaun Alexander. The New York Giants package, which includes lunch with Pierce and a trip to the Giants' training camp for practice, is the chance of a lifetime to hear first-hand about the championship game that is already being called one of the most exciting in history.

"It is very gratifying to see that Antionio Pierce, Shaun Alexander and so many of today's big names in sports recognize our cause of dropout prevention as one that needs to be addressed," said Daniel J. Cardinali, president, Communities In Schools, Inc. "We are thrilled to have their support for Lunch With A Leader."

You may not be able to make it to the Daytona 500, but lunch with NASCAR driver Scott Riggs can put you right in the driver's seat. Bidders can also learn about the front office from Arizona Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall and former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Grady Little. Bidders can also learn about sports from the players' perspective with NFL Players Association President Troy Vincent.

In addition to these sports stars, CSI: Miami's Emily Procter, R&B sensation Mario, and Creative Artists Agency President Richard Lovett have joined dozens of other leaders to support Communities In Schools.

Now in its sixth year, Lunch With A Leader has attracted more than 300 celebrity leaders who, through their participation, directly impact the lives of young people at risk of dropping out. Communities In Schools' one percent expense ratio ensures that proceeds from the online auction will go directly towards helping kids stay in school and prepare for life.

Sponsors of this year's Lunch With A Leader are Capital One Financial Corporation, ICAP(r) and Bloomberg. ChoicePoint is a Lunch With A leader partner.
