GLENDALE, Ariz, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American Tailgaters Association (ATA) together with the Sean "Big Mouth" Salisbury Dreams Come True Foundation and the George Foreman "Knock Out Pediatric Cancer" initiative today announced they will be hosting the first annual "Cancer Blows" Celebrity Charity Tailgate event in Glendale, Arizona home of Super Bowl XLII, on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Event proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer patients.

"The Super Bowl is the most anticipated sporting event of the year and I am thrilled that we have joined forces with the ATA and George Foreman's "Knock Out Pediatric Cancer" initiative. We want to leverage that visibility to benefit children who are fighting for their lives and in some small measure help improve the quality of the life they live, while battling this ugly disease," said Sean Salisbury, current ESPN analyst and former NFL Quarterback. "The Big Mouth Dreams Come True Foundation is dedicated to making the sports fantasies of children with pediatric cancer a reality. We are excited about the tailgate charity event because it will enable us to raise visibility for the children we are dedicated to helping now and in the long-term."

The "Cancer Blows" Celebrity Charity Tailgate event will take place at the Jack Daniels Old No 7 Club from seven to midnight on Thursday, January 31, 2008. The party features the band Whiskey Falls and will offer a tailgater's dream of BBQ foods and drinks. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.seanbigmouthsalisbury.com.

"The ATA is extremely proud to partner with both Sean Salisbury and George Foreman to host an event that benefits an extremely worthy cause. In the long-term we hope to build on this partnership to generate a large base of support around this effort," said Jeff Dockeray, Parking Lot Pro & Vice President - ATA. An estimated 50+ million people tailgate every year in the United States. If the ATA can serve as a conduit to harness just a fraction of that number to support the fight against pediatric cancers, these children and their families will have an extremely powerful voice in their section cheering for them and routing them on. Given the obstacles these kids must overcome every day it is the least that each of us can do."
