BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Slipstream Sports LLC and its chief venture, the Slipstream/ Chipotle Professional Cycling Team, selected five finalists for the "Get in the Slipstream" contest. The first-of-its-kind contest invited fans to submit design ideas for the official 2008 Team Slipstream/Chipotle jersey. The winner, who will be announced on September 27, 2007 at Interbike, is now up to the fans.
Kicking off on August 31, 2007, the contest garnered over 600 unique designs from entrants. A panel of judges, including Doug Ellis and Jonathan Vaughters, selected the five finalists who they felt best incorporated the team's orange and blue argyle, as well as logos for Chipotle, Felt and Slipstream Sports. Cycling enthusiasts are encouraged to go to www.slipstreamsports.com to vote on the winning design that will become the official team jersey, worn by the team in and out of competition for the entire 2008 season. The winner will receive a full team kit, a Felt team issue bicycle and jersey autographed by the team members.
