NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The Go Fast Jet Pack, piloted by Rocketman Eric Scott, is preparing to take flight this weekend during the First International Rocketbelt Convention being held this Saturday and Sunday (September 23-24) at the Niagara Aerospace Museum in New York. The Rocketbelt Convention, sponsored by Jet Pack International, LLC, will bring together old and new as homemade rocketbelts from all over the country are displayed alongside the original Bell Aerosystems Rocketbelt, built in the 1960's. Current and former rocketmen, rocketbelt builders, engineers and high tech inventors will meet together for a two day symposium, "Where the Past Meets the Present".
The Go Fast Jet Pack, created by Jet PI, LLC is scheduled to be flown at approximately 3:00pm Saturday and Sunday by Rocketman Eric Scott. Scott will fly the 800 horsepower, human-piloted high-tech flying backpack in front of the museum for spectators to enjoy and be amazed. This modern day rocketbelt is the first privately designed and funded rocketbelt built from scratch and is the longest flying machine of its kind in the world. More astronauts have walked on the moon than pilots who have flown rocketbelts. This flight is an event not to be missed.
In addition to the Go Fast Jet Pack flights, original Bell film footage will be shown in the two theaters of the Niagara Aerospace Museum throughout the weekend, as well as videos of modern day rocketbelt flights. Original artifacts and memorabilia, some never before seen by the public, will also be available for viewing.
Admission to the museum is open to the public: $10.00 for adults, $9.00 for seniors and college students, $7.00 for children 5 to 17, $28.00 for families and free for children under 5. The museum is located at 345 Third Street, Niagara Falls, NY. The Symposium, by pre-registration, is $85.00. Registration and information is available at http://www.rocketbelt.nl/ and http://www.gofastsports.com/.
