The Company Ranks Number Two Household Brand for Second Consecutive Year
ORLANDO, Fla., March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortune released the esteemed "World's Most Admired Companies" list and Tupperware Brands Corporation ranked number two in the Household Products category for the second year in a row. The Fortune "World's Most Admired Companies" list is a definitive testimony on corporate reputations.
For over sixty years, Tupperware Brands Corporation has been an industry leader committed to providing best-in-class, innovative products, dynamic selling situations, and career earnings opportunities. This past year, despite the economic environment, Tupperware Brands' full year sales grew, not only in many of the core Tupperware businesses, but also in emerging markets. Tupperware Brands Corporation continues to adapt its business model to changes in the global market.
"It is an enormous honor to once again be included on Fortune's "World's Most Admired Companies" list and to hold onto the number two ranking among such strong contenders," said Rick Goings, Chairman and CEO of Tupperware Brands Corporation. "The benefits of being considered an industry leader are invaluable, especially in the current economy, and we are incredibly proud and privileged to be acknowledged."
The "World's Most Admired Companies" list is created from an annual survey conducted by Hay Group in conjunction with Fortune, of over 15,000 top executives and members of the financial sphere. High level executives, directors and analysts are asked to rate companies in their respective industries based on eight criteria: quality of management, quality of products and services, innovation, long-term investment value, financial soundness, people management, social responsibility and use of corporate assets. In order to be included on Fortune's "The World's Most Admired Companies" list, a company's score must rank in the top half of its industry survey.
