Hand Bag Lovers and Kelly Ripa Fans Take Note... The Hunt for 'Kelly's Bags' Starts April 14 at electroluxappliances.com

NEW YORK, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention handbag lovers ... want to get your fashion fix without spending a dime? Starting April 14, Electrolux, Europe's leading premium appliance brand, is inviting women everywhere to play "Kelly's Bags," a fun and fast-paced on-line game where Kelly Ripa's collection of designer handbags is the key to winning a new collection of designer kitchen appliances from Electrolux. Those who register to play will also be supporting The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, a cause that's important to Ripa and women everywhere.

The game runs through May 18 at electroluxappliances.com. Tapping into women's penchant for up-to-the minute style, "Kelly's Bags" is a first-of-its-kind virtual scavenger hunt where dozens of bags from Kelly Ripa's private collection have been hidden all over the Internet. Players get clues, find the bags and build a virtual collection. Then, they use their personal fashion sense to tell Kelly which bag she should take along to specific events (e.g., parties, premieres and more). Make the right match and players score points. Plus, just for registering and "putting a bag in play," players are automatically entered to win one of 10 suites of premium kitchen appliances from Electrolux.

Ripa calls "Kelly's Bags" a "guilty little pleasure" that's a win/win for anyone who registers to play. "Not only can you win a suite of gorgeous kitchen appliances just for playing what I consider to be the ultimate purse-lover's fantasy game, when you register to play 'Kelly's Bags,' you're also helping to support The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, an organization that's leading the charge to raise money for more research to help fight this silent but deadly disease," notes Ripa. Electrolux is also donating a portion of retail sales for specific products to the OCRF. Together, Ripa and Electrolux are committed to raising $500,000 over the next two years to help fund research to fight ovarian cancer.

In addition to supporting an important cause, Keith McLoughlin, president and CEO, Electrolux Major Appliances, North America, says Kelly's Bags is a great way for people to experience Electrolux, widely recognized as a design-led brand. "Whether it's fashion or appliances, great design is universal," he notes. "That's why we created a game where the stakes are high ... design, and the hottest collection of designer handbags is the key to winning the hottest collection of designer appliances - for 10 lucky people."
