Golf Galaxy to Host Fifth Annual Women's Night Event on April 22

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., April 3, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- Golf Galaxy, Inc., the interactive golf superstore offering Everything for the Game(R), will host its fifth annual Women's Night event on Tuesday, April 22 from 7 - 9 PM at all 82 of its store locations nationwide. The event is designed to promote and advance the game of golf with the fastest growing segment of the golf market. Last year's event drew more than 9,000 women, making it the largest women's-only golf event in the country.

"Through our women's-only event, Golf Galaxy provides female golfers an opportunity to learn more about the game of golf and gain some new tips and techniques for improving their game at an event geared specifically to their wants and needs," said Justin Royer, vice president of marketing with Golf Galaxy. "The event is designed to be interactive and informative and is targeted directly to the female golf segment."

This year's "Women's Night Out," sponsored in part by Golf for Women magazine and golf manufacturers such as adidas, Callaway, Ecco, Greg Norman, NIKE Golf, Precept, Puma, TaylorMade, and Under Armour, will include a free goodie bag to the first 100 attendees, free swing analysis from PGA Professionals, ball launch monitor and putter fittings from certified Maltby Fitting Experts, as well as discounts on a selection of special women's golf products.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit "Golf for the Cure," a Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation affiliate partner.
