The 2007 DICK'S Sporting Goods(R) NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament Starts Monday, November 12th

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Starting Monday, November 12th, Sixteen Division-1 college teams will vie for the first championship of the 2007-08 NCAA basketball season at the 2007 DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) NIT Tip-Off Tournament. Since 1985, the National Invitation Tournament Tip-Off has showcased high-quality, competitive fields, with many participating teams going on to finish the year at the top of the standings.

The 2007 DICK'S Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off will feature all first- and second-round contests at campus sites. ESPN will provide coverage of the event, televising games on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU.

The East Regional will take place Monday, November 12th, and Tuesday, November 13th, at Syracuse University. The first-round doubleheader will showcase Syracuse University vs. Saints of Siena College and St. Joseph's University vs. Fairleigh Dickinson University. The championship and consolation games follow the next day.

In the West Regional on November 13th, the University of Washington will host New Jersey Institute of Technology, while the University of Utah will take on High Point University. The championship and consolation game will take place on November 14th.

The Midwest Regional will take place at Ohio State University on November 12th when Ohio State University plays the University of Wisconsin Green-Bay and Columbia University faces Delaware State University. The championship and consolation game will take place on November 13th.

In the South Regional, Oral Roberts University will take on Texas A&M University, while the University of Texas, El Paso plays Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi. The South region will play on November 13th and 14th.

The DICK'S Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament will culminate in New York's Madison Square Garden with the semi-final doubleheader tipping off at 7 p.m. ET on November 21st (ESPN2). The championship doubleheader will be played on November 23rd, with the consolation game starting at 4:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, and the championship game tipping off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
