Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort Appoints New Culinary Director - Chef William 'Bill' Munn

He now brings the wealth of experience he has gained during 18 years in the Pacific region enhanced by professional training with an array of European and Asian Chefs to the award-winning Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St. Lucia as the resort's new culinary director.

Born on the family farm in Jamaica, he moved with his family to British Columbia when he was 15. He graduated with honors from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and completed a three-year apprenticeship with Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts in Vancouver. He and his wife, Caroline, were each chosen as the 1988 top five apprentices.

Chef Munn relocated to the South Pacific with Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts. He then moved to Yap, Federated States of Micronesia, where he spent seven years with Manta Ray Bay Resort as executive chef and food & beverage manager. In 2006, he returned to the Caribbean as assistant culinary director with Windjammer Landing.
