Famed Il Mulino New York Restaurant to Open at Trump Taj Mahal

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort announced today the start of an exciting new partnership with Il Mulino New York, the legendary Italian restaurant. In what is expected to be the most anticipated restaurant opening in recent Atlantic City history, the opening of New York's famed restaurant Il Mulino in late spring 2008 marks the latest in a series of groundbreaking strategies designed to set a new standard for excitement at the Taj Mahal.

Il Mulino New York has garnered unrivaled critical acclaim for more than two decades. The restaurant is inspired by the genius of brothers Gino and Fernando Masci, who first created Il Mulino in Greenwich Village in 1981. Known as a haven for celebrities and power brokers, Il Mulino New York has been ranked the number one Italian restaurant in New York by the Zagat Survey for over two decades.

There will be two separate dining concepts located at the Taj Mahal: Il Mulino New York and Trattoria Il Mulino. Il Mulino New York will offer the traditional white table cloth experience with tuxedo-clad waiters and an extensive list of daily specials with wine recommendations. The Trattoria will offer a more casual dining experience featuring many of the creative fares of Il Mulino New York, along with more traditional pizzas, pastas and lighter dishes.

The announcement comes on the heels of several large-scale projects at the Taj Mahal. The unveiling of Spice Road in spring of 2007 brought a new variety of shopping and dining experiences. The renovated casino floor with new slot machines and table games added to an already action-packed atmosphere.

Summer 2007 saw completion of The Penthouse Suites at Trump Taj Mahal, offering seven palatial suites with private butler service, custom furnishings and amenities, all in incomparably luxurious accommodations. The all-new High Limit Gaming Salon recently debuted on the casino floor, offering over two dozen tables for baccarat, blackjack, craps, and other high limit games complete with dealers and staff impeccably trained to provide an unrivaled gaming experience.

In 2008, Trump Taj Mahal plans to complete construction on its new hotel tower, featuring 782 contemporary rooms and suites.
