(Bovespa: MRVE3), largest Brazilian real estate developer and homebuilder in the low-income segment, informs that its shares were included by Bovespa -- Bolsa de Valores de Sao Paulo -- in its IBrX -- BRASIL and IVBX-2 indexes.
The Brazil Index -- IBrX is an index which measures the return on a theoretical portfolio composed by 100 stocks selected among BOVESPA's most actively traded securities, in terms of number of trades and financial value. The component stocks are weighted according to the outstanding shares' market value. The IBrX consists of 100 securities chosen from a list of shares classified in descending order according to liquidity, measured by their negotiability index (considering the last twelve months).
The Valor Bovespa Index -- 2nd Tier (IVBX-2) was jointly developed by BOVESPA and the Valor Economico newspaper, with the purpose of measuring the return on a hypothetical portfolio consisting exclusively of securities issued by companies of excellent image among investors, classified from the 11th position down, both in terms of market value and liquidity of their shares. The IVBX-2 index consists of 50 securities chosen from a list of shares classified in descending order according to liquidity, measured by their negotiability index (considering the last twelve months).
