American Media, Inc. Provides Lenders with Updated Information

NEW YORK, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- American Media, Inc. (AMI) today said that it has made available at its corporate website certain information currently required to be disclosed on a monthly basis to the Company's lenders under its amended Senior Secured Credit Agreement.

The information, which includes the average estimated monthly circulation of certain key magazine titles during the period July 2007 through April 2008, as well as the recent levels of the Company's Revolving Credit Facility drawdowns and cash balances, is available at: http://www.americanmediainc.com/maybankinfo/

AMI's wholly owned subsidiary, American Media Operations, Inc., also announced that, due to its failure to file a registration statement covering its additional Senior Subordinated Notes issued in December 2007, it will be required to pay penalty interest with respect to such additional notes until it is in compliance with the applicable Registration Rights Agreement or until it is no longer obligated to do so pursuant to the provisions of the applicable Registration Rights Agreement.
