Giuliani Partners, LLC to Provide Policy Advice to Kiev Mayoral Candidate Vitali Klitschko and His Team

NEW YORK, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and his firm, Giuliani Partners, LLC, have agreed to advise Vitali Klitschko and his team in his bid to become Mayor of Kiev, Ukraine in the election being held on May 25th, 2008, on the "Best Practices" for municipal government.

Vitali Klitschko, who holds a Ph.D. degree, serves as People's Deputy to the Kiev City Council, and is a former WBO world champion heavy weight boxer, is running on a reform platform. He intends to overhaul the city's contracting and procurement processes so that Kiev will come to be known for the integrity and transparency of its administration and its business dealings.

Mayor Giuliani said, "My team and I will be advising Vitali Klitschko and his team on how to turn Kiev around by reforming government. Giuliani and Team to Travel to Kiev on May 12th

Mayor Giuliani and members of his team will travel to Kiev to meet with Mr. Klitschko and his advisors from May 12th to May 14th. Giuliani Partners will help Mr. Klitschko to establish Commission on Integrity (COI) and to devise systems comparable to the CompStat and VENDEX systems. Mr. Klitschko said, "These measures worked in New York City and I believe when applied in Kiev, foreign investors and the people of Kiev will have no doubt that the government is 'Open for Business' and there will be no tolerance or room for corruption or secret dealings in a Klitschko administration."
