CHICAGO, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Center For Economies of Change Corporation announced the appointment of Dr. Michelle M. Griffin to the Board of Examiners for the 2008 Baldrige award. The Baldrige Award, created by public law in 1987, is the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. The Baldrige program is administered by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Sandra Deardorff, Vice President of Human Resources, states, "We are excited by all the great things Michelle is doing for the Center For Economies of Change Corporation. She has been instrumental in our growth. We have a feeling 'Elephants Can't Change But Leopards Can' will be as instrumental of a business book as 'Good to Great' written by Jim Collins or 'In Search of Excellence' written by Tom Peters; it is extremely humorous and informative." Sandra Deardorff adds, "We also would like to congratulate Michelle Griffin for completing her Doctorate in Organization Development at Benedictine University."

Michelle Griffin, who is the Chief Operating Officer of Center For Economies of Change said, "I am so excited about finishing my doctorate, authoring the book 'Elephants Can't Change But Leopards Can' and being appointed to the Baldrige Examiner team. Ultimately, my goal and the Center For Economies of Change's goal are to help corporations remain profitable and keep customers in order for employees to stay employed. The Strategic Organization Development Roadmap, Economies of Change theory and Economies of the Customer theory will help corporations re-focus their efforts on customers and profit. In 'Elephants Can't Change But Leopards Can,' there a few special CEO's who are great Leopards, for instance Steven Jobs of Apple, Jack Welch formerly of GE, Allen Questrom who turned around JC Penney's and Michael Dell of Dell Corporation."
