ATLANTA, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, Hospitality Design magazine will present a day of eco-friendly programming, HD Green Day on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 co-located with HD Expo at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. For designers, hoteliers, restaurateurs and architects dedicated to improving the environment through their work, HD Green Day offers the opportunity to impact the future of sustainable design through an interactive panel on design standards. Some of the highlights include:
-- DEFINING STANDARDS FOR HOSPITALITY: During Green Day, one of the most
ground-breaking discussions will be a session titled "Talk is Cheap:
Defining Standards for Hospitality." This interactive session will

the hospitality industry when it comes to green building and design
standards. This critical session will feature breakout tables where
attendee input will be heard, and is the only open forum that will be
considered by the USGBC in creating new LEED standards for hospitality.
-- GREEN PANELS: Additional panels include "Why Go Green?" -- a look at
the business of eco-friendly design -- and "Achieving the New Look of
Green" -- a session exploring the future of green design through tips,
techniques and details on the next generation of green building.
