MIAMISBURG, Ohio, April 4, 2008 /PRNewswire/ -- NewPage announced today that Barry Nelson has joined the company's senior leadership team effective April 1, 2008, as senior vice president, sales. In this position, Mr. Nelson will be responsible for leading the company's strategic and tactical sales initiatives.

Mr. Nelson has been with NewPage since the inception of the company. Prior to this position, Mr. Nelson was working as vice president of printing sales, leading the sales organizations responsible for merchants, national accounts, publication printers and major cataloguers. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales, order management and sales leadership.
Mr. Nelson holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin and a PMD from the Harvard Business School.
