ARLINGTON, Va., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Pepco Energy Services, a subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. NYSE: POM and a leader in supplying renewable electricity, announced today that it has been awarded a contract to supply green energy to the headquarters of The Nature Conservancy in Arlington, Virginia. The Conservancy is a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people.
The one-year contract that began in January calls for Pepco Energy Services to provide the Conservancy with nearly four million kilowatt hours of 100 percent renewable energy certificates for its building located at 4245 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia. Under this contract, Pepco Energy Services will provide renewable energy certificates that are green-e certified from Sterling Planet.
