Alpha Natural Resources Schedules Fourth-Quarter and Year-End Earnings Release and Webcast

ABINGDON, Va., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (NYSE: ANR) , a leading supplier of high-quality Appalachian coal, plans to release financial results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2007, before the market opens on Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Michael Quillen, chairman and chief executive officer, and Kevin Crutchfield, president, will host a conference call to discuss these results and the outlook for the company on Tuesday, February 12, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
