Pliant Corporation Announces Tim French Rejoins Company and Will Lead Canadian Business and Waste Disposal Business

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Harold Bevis, President and CEO of Pliant Corporation, announced that Tim French has rejoined Pliant as Managing Director of Canada, reporting directly to him. Tim will be responsible for Pliant's business in Canada and Pliant's waste disposal products business globally. Pliant has a very successful business in Canada and Tim will continue to grow that business with a strong commitment to customer service, delivered quality and high-value product offerings. Tim will have direct P&L and organizational responsibility for all Canadian business and all Canadian personnel will report to him including Pliant's three Canadian plants in Toronto and Orillia.

Tim is an experienced leader and very knowledgeable in the film industry. Tim joins Pliant directly from Snowbear, where he was CEO. Prior to that, Tim was President and Chief Operating Officer of PCL Corporation, a manufacturer of flexible packaging and waste disposal products. Prior to that, Tim was Pliant's Orillia Plant Manager. Tim's customer relationships, knowledge of Canadian markets, Canadian sales channels and plastics manufacturing processes will accelerate Pliant's ambitious growth plans for Canada and waste disposal products.

Tim and his family reside in Orillia, the location of Pliant's Canadian headquarters and Tim will lead the Canadian business and waste disposal products teams from there.
