CHICAGO, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Lisa Silverman, a seasoned executive with broad experience in both telecommunications and information technology products, has joined Localeze as Vice President of Market Development. In her new role, Silverman will drive the product vision, execute the product strategy and develop the next generation of merchant-friendly business- listings-management services.

Under her leadership, Localeze will launch the next version of its Merchant Profile Manager tool, which helps companies distribute detailed information to search engines and raise their visibility in local search results. Additionally, she will improve the packaging and use of Localeze's taxonomy . the hierarchy of information that contains terms commonly used by merchants and allows them to link them to consumer searches.
She will also oversee the development of solutions allowing the extensive Localeze distribution partner network (currently more than 70 partners) to access to deep, rich and relevant merchant content faster and more frequently.

Silverman comes to Localeze with a rich background in nurturing, marketing and developing technology products for both large enterprises and small businesses. Prior to Localeze, Silverman was Director of Product Management for Total Care at AOL, where she led all business, strategy and product initiatives surrounding the delivery of a PC security offering.
Previously, she was Director of New Product and Partner Marketing at Network Solutions, where she identified opportunities, vetted companies and services, negotiated contracts and implemented partnerships. Prior to that, at MCI WorldCom, Lisa served as Executive Director of Conferencing Marketing, managing the product lifecycle, external and internal marketing communications, sales support and end-user education for audio, video and Web conferencing.
