JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- James V. Davis, President and Chief Executive Officer of AMPORTS, Inc., has announced his retirement effective at year's end. Steven E. Rand, currently the Chief Operating Officer of AMPORTS, will succeed Davis as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Davis joined AMPORTS in 1999 as Chief Operating Officer for the Seaports Division, with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the car processing and seaports business. Following the sale of the aviation division in November 2002 by Associated British Ports Holdings, LLC, Davis was promoted to Chief Executive Officer.

In 2006, Davis led the change of AMPORTS' ownership from Associated British Ports to Lincolnshire Management, Inc. In June of 2007, AIG Highstar Capital acquired AMPORTS from Lincolnshire.
