SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Catholic Association of Latino Leaders (C.A.L.L.) will hold its National Inaugural event and identity unveiling at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Club Giraud in San Antonio, Texas. Cardinals, Bishops, and clergy from the U.S. and the Vatican have been invited to attend this premier event. In addition, Latino business leaders and prominent businessmen from across the country will attend and are lending their name and talent to ensuring the success of this one of a kind organization.
Under the leadership of the Most Reverend Jose H. Gomez, S.T.D., Archbishop of San Antonio & the Most Reverend Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M., Cap., Archbishop of Denver, C.A.L.L. is poised to serve as a national voice for Hispanic Catholics on social justice issues to impact national dialogue and its outcome in favor of improving our nation's policies affecting Latinos. Members include Hispanics from varying business and professional backgrounds who are dedicated to transforming their lives and communities according to the Gospel.

The purpose of C.A.L.L. is to work with the Church for the common good in the service of Latino communities in the United States. C.A.L.L. will actively embrace the issues of preserving and promoting Catholic values such as the sanctity and dignity of life, of marriage and family life, Catholic faith formation and education, vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, promoting the dignity of every person, and promoting the evangelization of culture and the common good, all in collaboration with our bishops.
