ATF Offers $5,000 Reward in Drive-By Shooting Investigation

ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the Dec. 17, 2007, drive-by shooting incident on the Red Lake Nation at a Red Lake officer's residence in the Barton's Camp Housing Area. The shooting occurred during the early morning hours.

"An attack against a law enforcement officer is an attack against the nation and the freedom that these officers protect," said Special Agent in Charge Bernard J. Zapor of the ATF St. Paul Field Division. "Drive-by shootings are serious crimes. We are asking the public to come forward with information regarding this incident that will ultimately help lead us to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons who are responsible."
