International Corporate Finance Attorneys Rob Houck and Titus Weinheimer Join Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in New York

NEW YORK, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced today the addition of shareholder Rudolph (Rob) S. Houck to its Corporate Finance Practice in New York. Houck has more than 30 years of experience in representing clients -- particularly German-based businesses -- in their acquisitions of American companies. He has counseled clients in industries ranging from chemicals, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics to fashion, publishing, software, metals and precision machinery.

Houck's addition follows that of international corporate finance and securities attorney Titus J. Weinheimer, who also joined the firm's New York office as counsel late last year. Weinheimer has more than 15 years of experience in the areas of international mergers and acquisitions, securities and banking.

About Rob Houck

Rudolph (Rob) S. Houck concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions and international transactions. Among his accomplishments, Houck has represented a German DAX-listed company in a series of purchases, including a division of a large chemical company with assets in 12 times zones; represented a large German conglomerate in the purchase of the assets of one of the oldest metals companies in the United States; advised the family-held German maker of excipients in the purchase of a major division of a publicly traded U.S. company in an auction; and served as general counsel for numerous U.S. subsidiaries of German, Swiss, Austrian and Italian companies, some for more than 20 years.

Houck received his LL.M. degree from Georgetown University, his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago and his B.A. degree, cum laude, from The University of Texas. He also studied twice in Germany, at the universities in Munich and Frankfurt. Fluent in German, Houck practiced with two leading Frankfurt law firms, now known as Clifford Chance and Lovells.

Houck edited The Legal Climate for Foreign Direct Investment in the United States (Georgetown University Press), has written numerous articles for foreign lawyers and businessmen, and has lectured at New York University Law School.

Titus J. Weinheimer focuses his practice in corporate finance, primarily in the areas of securities, mergers and acquisitions and banking. He has represented and advised corporations and financial institutions in public and private equity and debt offerings, asset-backed securities transactions, 144A transactions as well as angel and venture and debt offerings.

After receiving his law degree in Germany, Weinheimer represented and advised corporations and financial institutions in connection with the privatization of the mining, chemical and petrochemical industries in the former GDR (East Germany), Russia and Eastern Europe.
