GVT (Holding) S.A.: 4Q07 Revenue increased by 29%, Revenue from Core Business grew by 37%, EBITDA grew by 41%, EBITDA margin reached 40% and Net Income totaled R$ 35.1 million

CURITIBA, Brazil, Jan. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GVT (Holding) S.A. (Bovespa: GVTT3, Reuters: GVTT3.SA and Bloomberg GVTT3:BZ), a leading facilities-based telecommunications and Internet solutions provider company in Brazil, announces today its results for the fourth quarter of 2007 (4Q07) and for the full year of 2007 (FY07).

PERIOD HIGHLIGHTS

Net Revenue grew by 28.6% in 4Q07, reaching R$ 272.2 million, and by 27.6% over FY06, reaching R$ 980.7 million, while revenue from GVT's core business (LIS-based services) grew by 36.8% and 33.8%, respectively.

Revenue from Next Generation Services (NGS, comprising ADSL, VoIP and Corporate Data) grew by 82.7% in 4Q07 and 82.7% in FY07, accounting for 23.3% of total net revenue in 4Q07 and 20.6% in FY07.

EBITDA grew by 40.8% in 4Q07 and 40.1% in FY07, reaching R$ 108.4 million and R$ 358.1 million, respectively. EBITDA Margin increased 3.4 p.p. to 39.8% in 4Q07 and grew 3.2 p.p. to 36.5% in FY07.

Net Income reached R$ 35.1 million and R$ 59.2 million in 4Q07 and FY07, respectively. This increase is mainly due to higher EBITDA and higher financial income.

Capital Expenditures (CapEx) amounted to R$ 268 million in 4Q07 and R$ 566 million in FY07. The FY07 total includes the acquisition of Geodex for R$ 109 million and the IRU agreement for an IP backbone in the amount of R$ 48 million.

GVT added 73,912 lines in service (LIS) in 4Q07 and 291,047 in FY07, closing the year with 1,243,501 LIS, growth of 30.6% compared to FY06. In 4Q07, net additions to the company's core business, LIS-Based Services, totaled 80,490, comprising 42,845 physical lines, 32,848 ADSL lines and 4,797 VoIP connections (VONO).
