  Notes of Interest:

The time is ripe for the death of KaZaA (#15). Since Napster was introduced in 2000, there has been a succession of file-swapping software programs. First it was Napster, heralded as the third most popular search term of 2001. The government took Napster down, leading to the rise of Morpheus, the fifth highest-ranking search term of 2002. When Morpheus had difficulties, it was replaced by KaZaA. KaZaA was the number one most popular search term of 2003, but fell to number 12 overall in 2005. For the first time since its debut more than a year ago, LimeWire (#13) lands higher than KaZaA on this week's Lycos 50.

Other Notes of Interest:

Making its first-ever appearance on The Lycos 50 is School Closings (#45), as the furious nor'easter that howled up the East Coast, broke a snowfall record in New York, closing schools -- hence the search -- dumping more than two feet of snow on parts of the Northeast and Middle Atlantic states. Meanwhile, shy of making this week's list is bad boy rocker Kid Rock, who sees a 125 percent jump in search activity over the past 48 hours, following news that a sex tape has surfaced, featuring Kid and former Creed rocker, Scott Sapp, along with several women on a tour bus.

Biggest Movers and Shakers over the Past Week:
   1. Eva Green 430%
   2. Pheromone Oil 380%
   3. Massage Therapy 222%
