Gina Russo Opens Trenchant Insurance in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Gina Russo opened the Trenchant Insurance Company at 8778 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 105 in Las Vegas.

Trenchant Insurance is an independent agency specializing in Home, Auto, Life, Health and Flood Insurance for both residential and commercial clients, also handling business insurance and bonds. As a broker, Trenchant represents a number of companies and shops insurance rates to seek out the best-priced and best-quality insurance plan.

According to Russo, insurance needs to be affordable without sacrificing protection. "With the current state of the economy, many households are seeking to lower their bills," said Russo, president of Trenchant Insurance. Russo, a native Las Vegan, recently received a Business Start Up Grant from Moms in Business Network. She has an understanding of the local community, market and culture. "I have witnessed the positive and negative changes the city has encountered. Having family, friends and colleagues who have also been in the area for years affords me many different perspectives of the community," Russo said.

Russo graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor's in Finance. She started in the insurance field in 2000. For three years she worked for a captive insurance company and then transitioned to the independent channel by starting an independent agency for a privately owned mortgage bank. "I love being an independent agent because I can offer options. Working with me allows the consumer to have access to multiple companies through one source."

Many consumers purchase insurance because it is mandated and do not truly understand their options and needs. Russo said she prides herself on educating clients. "I want my clients to understand what they are purchasing and ensure that their insurance plan works for them if they incur a loss. While insurance may be required in certain situations, it is also something that protects them and their family from a variety of scenarios. Insurance helps keep peoples' lives together."
