BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- GEOCommand, Inc. announced today that the Board of Directors has named Gray Reynolds to the company's Board of Advisors. Mr. Reynolds will serve as an advisor to the company especially on matters relating to the United States Forest Service.
Albert Koenigsberg, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of GEOCommand, stated, "This advisor's appointment continues GEOCommand's process of building a world-class advisory team to increase shareholder value for the immediate and long term. As recent wildfires in Southern California have so poignantly reminded us, we continue to face unforeseen emergency response situations on a daily basis. GEOCommand, in a conscious initiative to continually improve our core understanding of fire incident first response community requirements, is pleased with the addition of Gray to our Advisory Board. Gray, a former US Forest Service (USFS) Executive, has served in several senior positions during his esteemed career. Mr. Reynolds will provide the GEOCommand development team with practical on the ground urban/forest interface zone and fire fighting and management experience. Gray, a second generation forester, brings us a rare combination of tactical wildfire suppression, response experience and executive leadership."
"The suite of GEOCommand software products is the most significant advance for First Responders since the two-way radio," stated Mr. Reynolds. "Current accurate onsite information and the ability to share such information with the responder in the field are critical to Incident Commanders. The GEOCommand technology utilizes GIS information, preplanned emergency information and a communications piece that enables Incident Commanders to communicate and direct all emergency response activities with full knowledge of the scope and severity of the emergency."
Mr. Reynolds served the USFS for 35 years and is a widely respected member of the forester community. Currently, he is the President of The National Museum of Forest Service History. The museum, located in Missoula, Montana, is currently under construction with a public opening scheduled for September 1, 2009.
