Florida Metropolitan University Online Changes Name to Everest University Online

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Metropolitan University Online (FMU Online) has officially changed its name to Everest University Online, effective today. FMU Online is a division of Florida Metropolitan University. The name change for the online division is part of a plan by its parent company, Corinthian Colleges, Inc., to bring most of its schools under one identifiable brand across North America. Corinthian has rebranded 75 schools across the U.S. -- including 10 FMU campuses that adopted the Everest name today.

When the rebranding effort is complete, Everest's 60,000 students and 100,000 graduates will be part of a nationally recognized institution which will include Everest University Online, as well as over 100 campuses across the U.S. and Canada.

"Employers recognize the value of an Everest education and the value of our Everest graduates. In fact, last year alone, we placed more than 25,000 Everest graduates in new positions," said Steve Quattrociocchi, Everest University Online president. "Even though we've changed our name, we at Everest will continue to provide the same commitment, the same quality courses and the same qualified instructors our students have come to expect from FMU Online."

Everest University Online provides career-oriented associates, bachelor's and master's degree programs in accounting, business, criminal justice and information technology.
