WhiteHat Security CEO Named Recipient of Annual Tribute to Women (TWIN) Award

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- WhiteHat Security, the leading provider of website vulnerability management services, today announced that the Silicon Valley YWCA has named the Company's Chief Executive Officer, Stephanie Fohn, a winner of the 2007 TWIN Award. The YWCA of Silicon Valley's TWIN Awards Program honors not only women who demonstrate excellence in executive-level positions, but also the companies that employ these women. Fifty-one outstanding executive women from Silicon Valley will be honored May 15, 2008 at the 24th Annual Tribute to Women (TWIN) Awards Program at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel.

As CEO of WhiteHat Security, Stephanie Fohn sets the strategic direction of the company, leads the management team and is responsible for the day-to- day operations of the company as a whole. Fohn has spent the majority of her career in technology, early on as a venture capitalist, providing late-stage investments and strategic guidance to portfolio companies. In the past 12 years, Ms. Fohn has focused her financial expertise and operational savvy on the start-up community as an entrepreneur and executive. She founded two companies and served as president and COO of SecurityFocus, where she was instrumental in the company's acquisition by Symantec in 2002. Since joining WhiteHat in 2004, Fohn has led the organization to a top position in the Web security field. In the past 18 months, WhiteHat raised an additional $3.5 million, tripled its client roster, experienced a four-fold increase in the number of websites under management and doubled its number of employees. Twenty-four years ago, the YWCA established the TWIN awards in Santa Clara Valley to pay tribute to women in industry. The participants represent a cross-section of companies in the Valley including technology, defense, communications, publishing, construction and healthcare, among others. Funds generated through the TWIN Awards dinner support the programs and services of the YWCA of Silicon Valley.
