HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- KePRO, a respected and rapidly expanding national medical management firm, named Stuart B. Chesky, DO, JD, as Pennsylvania Medical Director. Dr. Chesky, who replaces retiring medical director, Frank Castrina, MD, will oversee all clinical aspects of operations being performed in KePRO's Harrisburg headquarters.

Dr. Chesky will lead all medical aspects relating to the peer review process, utilization review activities, risk management, credentialing, and other projects originating from the Harrisburg office. He will also play a key role in promoting the company's business development, physician recruitment, and strategic planning initiatives.

His varied experience includes medical malpractice culpability assessment and case review, providing expert medical testimony, and consulting for workers' compensation cases. Dr. Chesky has published several papers, including "VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean Section), a Medical Controversy," which appeared in the Medical Trial Technique Quarterly; and "Herpes Simplex type II," appearing in the Journal of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California.
Among his numerous accomplishments, Dr. Chesky is a past president of the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California. He has held nine teaching positions, including Clinical Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio University; Chairman of the Department and full professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific of Western University of Health Sciences; and held an academic appointment in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California at Irvine.
Dr. Chesky received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University/ Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine; his specialty is Obstetrical and Gynecological Surgery. He is licensed to practice medicine in multiple states, including Ohio.
He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Ohio Northern University College of Law. His Bachelor of Science degree is from Roosevelt University.
