DENVER, April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Policy Studies Inc. (PSI), a top provider of government health services, announced today that it signed a contract with the State of Tennessee's Department of Finance and Administration to serve as the eligibility and enrollment administrative contractor for the State's new CoverKids Program. Modeled after Tennessee's insurance program for State employees, CoverKids comes under the umbrella of the Cover Tennessee Program and is designed to widen health insurance coverage to uninsured children of Tennessee. Operations began with a March launch of the program.
The CoverKids Program provides healthcare coverage to eligible children (ages 18 and under) and pregnant women who are not eligible for Medicaid and who cannot afford private healthcare services. PSI will manage the program's eligibility and enrollment process, which involves managing a customer-friendly call center, conducting effective outreach activities, determining eligibility, and efficiently processing applications.
PSI's proven expertise in managing large government healthcare programs is one of the reasons it was awarded the contract. Remarks Program Director Dr. Andrea Willis, "We're extremely impressed with PSI's understanding of our program and commitment to making it a success. Working together, we will make every effort to ensure that children in the State have access to healthcare coverage."
Eric Rubin, PSI's executive vice president of service delivery, echoes Dr. Willis' optimism. "Tennessee's vision for its CoverKids Program is truly innovative, and we're honored to be able to leverage our years of experience to help the State establish Tennessee as a national leader in health care for children."
PSI has been helping government clients improve program performance for over 22 years and currently provides government health-related services in Iowa, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, and Pennsylvania.
