15 SmartCare Centers Now Open in Front Range Wal-Mart Supercenters

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartCare Family Medical Centers has completed the build-out and openings of its 15 walk-in medical centers in the Front Range area, making it easier than ever for local residents to get high quality, convenient care for minor acute illness. Additionally, in honor of National Heart Health Awareness Month (February), all SmartCare Centers will offer free heart health screenings Feb. 14 - 28.

SmartCare opened its first two Centers on Sept. 26, 2006 in Greeley and Loveland, and has since opened Centers in Aurora, Brighton, Broomfield, Centennial, Denver, Lakewood, Littleton, Parker, Thornton and Westminster. All SmartCare Centers offer extended hours and are open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. SmartCare Centers are found in leased space within the following Wal-Mart Supercenters locations:

  * Westminster: 9499 Sheridan Blvd.; and 200 W. 136th Ave.

    to heart disease and stroke without symptoms.  SmartCare is offering a
    simple, non-fasting cholesterol screening for free or a complete lipid
    panel, which requires an 8-hour fast, for a reduced price of $15.

  * Blood Pressure Analysis -- People can have high blood pressure and not
    even know it.  High blood pressure is very dangerous and can lead to
    heart attacks, heart disease, strokes or kidney disease.  SmartCare is
    offering this important screening at no cost.

  * Body Fat Analysis -- An excess amount of body fat can lead to many
    health problems and poor body image.  SmartCare is offering a free a
    body fat analysis and healthy diet/exercise tips.
