RIVERDALE, N.Y., Feb. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Hudson Pointe at Riverdale, Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, recently announced the appointment of Kathleen Hagan, MS, BSN, RN as administrator of the 167-bed skilled nursing facility. Mrs. Hagan comes to the facility with nearly three decade's experience in nursing care, management and nursing home administration. "Kathy joins Hudson Pointe with a wealth of impressive experience in health care and management; we're proud to have her lead our team of exceptional caregivers," stated Tim Brown, Director of Marketing and Communication.
The facility, located at 3220 Henry Hudson Parkway in Riverdale, has an established standing as one of the premier nursing and rehabilitative care communities in the Bronx, providing short-term, post-hospital rehabilitation, as well as long-term skilled nursing care, hospice and respite care. Back in August 2006, the facility joined an elite network of skilled nursing facilities with recognized reputations for providing quality healthcare, and is designated to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion beginning in April.
Mrs. Hagan, a current resident of Monroe, New York, began her career as a staff nurse at an acute care hospital, garnering experience in various disciplines. Soon after, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and took on added responsibilities at Arden Hill Hospital, in Goshen, from 1982-1992, in nursing, serving various roles in nursing management as well as employee training and education. Mrs. Hagan spent an additional several years as a director of patient care services for a Newburgh certified home care agency, prior to receiving her nursing home administrator's license from the state of New York.
Mrs. Hagan began her administrator's career opening a new facility in Poughkeepsie, then joined the Hebrew Home for the Aged as administrator of their Baptist Division in Riverdale, prior to her most recent role as Vice President of Nursing for Shervier Nursing Care Center, also in Riverdale.
