Xenomics Announces Participation in Pharma Finance 2006 Conference in Milano, Italy

NEW YORK, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Xenomics, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: XNOM - News; FWB: XE7), the source of next-generation medical DNA diagnostic tests, today announced that it will be participating in the Pharma Finance 2006 Conference in Milano, Italy on September 19-20, 2006. Dr. L. David Tomei, CEO and Co-Founder of Xenomics will present on Tuesday, September 19th at 12:30 local time at the Universita Statale di Milano, Via Festa del Perdono, 7.

"I am both excited and honored that Xenomics was invited to present at this year's conference," commented Dr. Tomei. "The Pharma Finance Conferences draw savvy audiences with a keen eye for investment opportunities. This invitation further demonstrates the tremendous market potential Xenomics has with our revolutionary DNA diagnostic technology."

Xenomics will showcase its patented technology which can be used to identify DNA biomarkers in small urine specimens. Such DNA biomarkers can be used to detect and/or monitor a wide array of diseases and health conditions, including infectious diseases, cancers, prenatal conditions, and numerous other applications. Clinical studies have already demonstrated progress with infectious disease testing, particularly in the field of tuberculosis detection and therapeutic monitoring, HIV proviral DNA detection, and detection of early cancer genetic markers.

Xenomics' mission is to apply its proprietary DNA platform technology to develop highly sensitive, truly non-invasive molecular diagnostic tests to replace blood, sputum, tissue, and other outdated testing technologies.

Additional Conferences

Xenomics will also be presenting at the AFund Fall Investment Conference on September 22, 2006 at The Princeton Club in New York City. Additionally, in a separate segment of the conference, Dr. Tomei will speak on "The Genetic Signature of Diseases: The Future of Diagnostics".

About Xenomics, Inc.

Xenomics is a molecular diagnostic company that focuses on the development of DNA-based tests using transrenal DNA. Xenomics' patented technology uses safe and simple urine specimens and is being applied to a broad range of applications including detection and monitoring of infectious diseases, tumor detection and therapeutic monitoring, stem cell transplantation monitoring, and prenatal genetic testing. Scientists from Xenomics were the first to discover that fragments of DNA from cells throughout the body can cross the kidney barrier and be readily detected in small urine specimens. The Company believes that its transrenal DNA technology will open significant new markets in the molecular diagnostics field and provide a new generation of molecular diagnostic tests. Xenomics' issued U.S. patents protect an array of applications for molecular diagnostics and genetic testing. The Company has been joined by the National Institute for Infectious Diseases (Istituto Nazionale per la Malattie Infettive "Lazarus Spallanzani") in Rome, in formation of a research and development company called SpaXen Italia, S.R.L, where clinical researchers are focused on transrenal DNA diagnostics for a variety of infectious diseases.
