USAID Assistant Administrator for Management Sworn In

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Henrietta Fore, Administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), administered the oath of office to Sean Mulvaney as the Agency's new Assistant Administrator for Management. Mr. Mulvaney will oversee a bureau that includes all Agency procurement, IT, facilities, budget and financial structures.

Implementing the management portion of the Secretary's reform of foreign assistance will be among Mulvaney's priorities in his new job.

Mr. Mulvaney brings both Congressional and business experience to this top management position. He recently served as Assistant to the Speaker for Policy in the United States House of Representatives. Prior to this, he served as Foreign Operations and Trade Advisor to U.S. Representative Jim Kolbe, Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Foreign Operations. Earlier in his career, he was Assistant Brand Manager at GlaxoSmithKline.

Mr. Mulvaney received a master's degree from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management in Arizona and a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He and his wife, Susan, have twin daughters and reside in Arlington, Virginia.
