Sutter Home Family Vineyards Enters Seventh Year of 'Capsules For Hope(R)' Program

ST. HELENA, Calif., Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Sutter Home Family Vineyards is renewing its commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer with their annual Sutter Home for Hope 'Capsules for Hope' program, in which consumers are invited to send in the tops of Sutter Home wine capsules. In addition to the Capsules for Hope program, Sutter Home is also unveiling new specialty labels on select Sutter Home blush wines. The pink ribbon is prominently displayed on all 750ml bottles in addition to the larger format 1.5-liter bottles in the White Zinfandel and White Merlot varieties.

Sutter Home has also revamped their breast cancer awareness website (http://www.sutterhomeforhope.com) to include the many stories that the company has received since Sutter Home for Hope's inception in 2001. These stories are not only from those who are part of the Sutter Home family, but also stories of hope that have been shared by those across the country.

While many companies often find a cause to support on an annual basis, very rarely will you find a company with such commitment as Sutter Home Family Vineyards. Our commitment began when winery owner Vera Trinchero Torres was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is now an eight-year survivor, but many Sutter Home employees, distributors and customers have also been touched by this deadly disease.

"We began Sutter Home for Hope because our winery family was touched by breast cancer, but the response by fans of Sutter Home has been overwhelming. This is a program our consumers have come to expect each fall, many of them saving capsules in honor of a loved one. It reminds us all how many lives can be affected," Sutter Home Senior Director of Marketing, Wendy Nyberg explains. "With the addition of the specialty labels featuring pink ribbons on bottles of White Zinfandel and White Merlot, we can continue to emphasize the importance of finding a cure for breast cancer."

Pioneered by the Trinchero family eight years ago, Sutter Home for Hope has put forth close to a million dollars in donations to breast cancer organizations across the country, as well as in materials to raise awareness.

The 'Capsules for Hope' program appears in stores nationwide beginning in September. For more information on how to become part of the effort to find a cure, visit sutterhomeforhope.com.
