CHICAGO, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Morton's Restaurant Group, Inc. (NYSE: MRT) today announced that Scott D. Levin is joining the steakhouse company as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. As a key member of Morton's legal department, Levin will provide strategic insight and support in the areas of Corporate Law, Public Reporting, Human Resources, Licensing and Real Estate.
Prior to joining Morton's, Levin, 45, served as senior vice president, Human Resources, and general counsel for Torex Retail Americas, a leading provider of technology solutions for major grocery, food service and hospitality and retail companies. From 2001 to 2006, Levin was senior vice president and general counsel for Savista Corporation, a provider of technology solutions for restaurant companies, which Torex acquired in 2006. Earlier, Levin held general counsel positions at OurHouse, Inc. and Florists' Transworld Delivery, Inc. (FTD).
Earlier in his career, Levin worked with Morton's during his tenure at Schulte Roth & Zabel, where he was an associate in the New York law firm's Corporate Department from 1989 to 1996.

Levin received his Juris Doctor degree from the George Washington University National Law Center in 1987. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College. Levin resides in Highland Park, Illinois.
