NAPERVILLE, Ill., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Butterball(R) has chosen seven consumer-generated advertisements to feature in its national television advertising campaign this Thanksgiving season. Last month, consumers were invited to submit a video message sending Thanksgiving greetings to their loved ones, with the chance to become part of Butterball's consumer-created advertising campaign and see their work on the small screen. As part of Butterball's continuous effort to bring families together, Butterball's advertising campaign will broadcast the seven entries to an estimated national television audience of almost 340 million viewers.
From November 6 - 20, Butterball's campaign will feature the winning entries, which range from heart-warming to hilarious, on national television. The ads are scheduled to air on major networks and cable outlets.
The seven selected entries were submitted by:
-- Amy Paffrath - Los Angeles, Calif.
-- Ed Herro - Madison, Wis.
-- Andrew Hamer - Chicago, Ill.
-- Tim Kloehn - Palos Heights, Ill.
-- Roman Pietrs and Sandy Hyun - Brooklyn, N.Y.
-- Lisa Ciucciurelli and Charles Koory - Franklin, N.J.
-- John Jamilkowski - Valley Cottage, N.Y.
Turkey fans from across the country submitted videos of themselves sending Thanksgiving messages to friends and family. Entries were judged on the quality, creativity and emotion of their 22-second video submissions. Seven videos were chosen to be featured on national television. All seven entries also can be viewed at http://www.butterball.com/ .
About the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line
One of the first national, toll-free consumer help lines, the original Talk-Line staff of six home economists fielded questions from 11,000 turkey- troubled Americans during its first season in November 1981. On Thanksgiving Day, the small group took hundreds of calls -- with only a rolodex of notes and their own knowledge to help them answer the nation's questions. Today, professionally-trained home economists and nutritionists assist more than 100,000 callers each year in the United States and Canada during the holiday season. The Talk-Line's 50+ staff members are capable of answering questions from either English- or Spanish-speaking callers, and they also respond to questions via e-mail.
