NEW YORK, Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of an ongoing strategy to connect to its teen audience, The N, the nighttime network for teens, in conjunction with online research firm OTX and mobile community provider mbuzzy (http://www.mbuzzy.com/), has announced that it has created the first-ever teen wireless research panel using the mbuzzy mobile technology platform. The new, groundbreaking research panel, which kicks off in January, will provide insight into the complex mindset of the digital generation for The N and other networks within the MTV Networks family as well as select advertisers.
"Teens Everywhere" will allow The N to conduct research with teens via their mobile phones for quick, up-to-the-minute responses to timely questions as well as provide a new online community for teens to interact with and share wireless content and information. This new methodology gives the network direct access to a panel of 10,000 young people for immediate feedback about their lifestyles as well as network programming, advertising, events and other information. The panel will be recruited from the mbuzzy community, from The-N.com and Quizilla.com and will assist The N in understanding content sharing in the wireless environment and viral behavior.
Panelists will be given access to The N's promotional content through a newly created social networking microsite using the mbuzzy mobile community platform where they will also be encouraged to create, share and store their content with other participants in the panel.
"Teens Everywhere will enable us to monitor and gather information from young people using their primary means of communication -- cell phones," said Radha Subramanyam, Vice President, Research and Planning. "This process will allow us to communicate directly with our demo, whenever and wherever they are, to get their 'life story' in a way that is most endemic to them."
"The N is committed to connecting with teens wherever they are, whether through programming, marketing or research initiatives," said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Senior Vice President and General Manager, The N. "This research is part of the network's ongoing commitment to the 360 degree approach to teen's lives."
