First Series of Elizabeth(R) Brand Jewels by House of Taylor Jewelry Auctioned by Christie's

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- House of Taylor Jewelry, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOTJ) today announced that three diamond jewelry pieces from the Elizabeth(R) Collection, each inspired by Dame Elizabeth Taylor, were featured in Christie's October 11th Magnificent Jewels auction in New York and sold for a total value of approximately $185,000.

"The three lots showcased in 'Magnificent Jewels' and sold at auction were the first of a series of unique Elizabeth brand pieces to be designed and sold at Christie's fine jewelry auctions," said Jack Abramov, president and chief executive officer. The three Elizabeth(R) Collection jewels sold at auction by Christie's included:

   * A cultured pearl and diamond ring for $5,040 -- set with a cultured
     pearl, measuring approximately 17.00 mm, within a pave-set rose-cut
     diamond surround and half-hoop, mounted in 18k white gold

   * A diamond and sapphire pendant necklace for $60,000 -- designed as a
     cross pendant, centering upon a circular-cut sapphire, to the twin-row
     rose-cut diamond bars, enhanced at the cardinal points by a pear-shaped
     rose-cut diamond, with a collet-set diamond neckchain, pendant mounted
     in platinum and neck-chain-mounted in 18k white gold

   * A pair of diamond and ruby ear pendants for $120,000 -- each
     pear-shaped ruby surmount suspending an articulated cascade of marquise
     and pear-shaped diamonds, with graduated pear-shaped ruby terminals,
     mounted in platinum

Additional series of Elizabeth(R) Collection jewels are being scheduled to be featured by Christie's for auction in leading cities around the world, including Geneva and Hong Kong.
