Nickelodeon's 'Shriekin' Weekend' Creaks Open the Lid on Eerie Premieres of Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, Mr. Meaty and The X's, amid Monstrous Halloween Slate, October 27-29

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Nickelodeon's "Shriekin' Weekend" scares up a monstrous slate of Halloween specials, Friday-Sunday, October 27- 29 -- topped by three chill-filled premieres -- and ushers in a Halloween Day non-stop marathon for kids from tots to tweens. The kid channel lifts the lid on back-to-back all-new episodes of Mr.Meaty/"Nosferateens" and The X's/"The Haunting of Home Base" on Friday, October 27 (8:30 & 9 p.m. ET/PT) and uncloaks Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide/"Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Zombies," Sunday, October 29 (7:30 p.m. ET/PT).

Being a vampire bites, both for Mr. Meaty's burger-flipping puppets Josh and Parker, who decide to become "undead" for a little trick-or-treat, on-the- job excitement after finding a caped creature in the freezer in "Nosferateens" and for the tipster of Ned's Declassified (Devon Werkheiser), whose toothy transformation on Halloween draws a gaggle of ghouls in "Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Zombies." The X's bratty spy kid Truman stays human but shrinks in horror when his parents and sister turn into zombies in "The Haunting of Home Base."

Nick. Jr. will treat tots, too, with noontime premieres during "Monster Mash Week," Monday-Thursday, October 23-26, featuring all-new Backyardigans/"Monster Party," LazyTown/"Haunted Castle," Wonder Pets/ "Save the Black Kitten and Wow! Wow! Wubbzy/"Monster Madness." Consecutive encores of the quartet will cast a morning spell, October 27 & 31 (10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.).

The "Shriekin' Weekend" kicks off on Friday night, October 27 (7-10 p.m. ET/PT), with a trio of frightful faves: SpongeBob SquarePants' "Scaredy Pants" with its amazing undersea costume party, Catscratch's "Scaredy Cat" -- superstitious kitty Gordon dreads Halloween -- and The Fairly OddParents' "Scary Godparents" (7, 7:30 & 8 p.m.) pave the way to the rib-tickling premieres of Mr. Meaty and The X's (8:30 & 9 p.m.). Danny Phantom's "Fright Knight" (9:30 p.m.) wraps up Friday's deliciously scary fare, as the titular teen hero fights the evil, ghostly Spirit of Halloween (a.k.a. Fright Knight).

Rattling a lengthy chain, Saturday's five-hour marathon (2-7 p.m. ET/PT) links even more holiday offerings. Among them, Jimmy Neutron's "Nightmare in Retroville" (2 p.m.) finds the boy genius desperately trying to reverse the effects of his latest invention, the neutronic monster maker. And Chuckie finds his inner "werewuff" on "Hallomean" in Rugrats' "Curse of the Werewuff" (6 p.m.) and stands up to Angelica, who has all the babies shivering in their booties.

Sunday night's TEENick trick-or-treat lineup, which turns a spooky spotlight on Ned's Declassified's premiere of "Halloween" and "Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Zombies" as its centerpiece at 7:30 p.m., first finds The Amanda Show's Judge Trudy ruling on ridiculous Halloween mishaps in comedy sketches at 6 p.m. The all-new, frightfully funny Halloween-themed Mr. Meaty encores at 6:30 p.m. Nick peeks at ghostly goings-on in Zoey 101's "Haunted House" (8 p.m.) when Zoey's (Jamie Lynn Spears) little brother gets lost in the spooky abode Logan created. Then there's a Spooktacular party at which a reticent Addie expects a non-random Spin the Bottle in Unfabulous's "The Dark Side" (8:30 p.m.).

And stretching one of the biggest days in kids' lives, Halloween, into the celebration it deserves, Nickelodeon gets knees to knocking and monsters meshing on Tuesday, October 31, in the biggest, scariest Halloween marathon ever: Twenty holiday specials in 15 hours chill Nick's airwaves from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Following is a full rundown of Nickelodeon's extensive Halloween lineup (all times ET/PT):

Nick Jr.'s Monster Mash Week of Noontime Premieres, October 23-26

* Monday -- Backyardigans/"Monster Party" -- Mad Scientist Tasha sends her humble assistant, Austin, on a journey to bring three monsters back to her laboratory: Mummy Tyrone, Werewolf Uniqua and Vampire Pablo. What Austin doesn't know is that a big surprise birthday party awaits him when he gets back. (Repeats 10-27 & 31)

* Tuesday -- Wonder Pets/"Save the Black Kitten" -- The trick-or-treating, Halloween costumed Wonder Pets get a call from a Black Kitten trapped inside a haunted doghouse. (Repeats 10-27 & 31)

* Wednesday - Wow! Wow! Wubbzy"/ "Monster Madness" -- When Wubbzy is scared by a TV show and sees monsters everywhere, Widget builds the Monster Masher, but soon she starts imagining monsters too. Walden uses a flashlight to show them that all the monsters were just ordinary objects in the dark. (Repeats 10-27 & 31)

* Thursday - LazyTown/"Haunted Castle" -- The Mayor warns the kids to stay away from an old, unsafe castle, but Trixie convinces them to join her inside. Meanwhile, Robbie poses as a ghost to scare the kids into not playing any more. The kids get trapped in the falling castle and Sportacus arrives to save the day. (Repeats 10-27 & 31)

                     NICKELODEON'S SHRIEKIN' WEEKEND

  Friday Night Marathon, October 27

* 7 p.m. -- SpongeBob SquarePants/"Scaredy Pants" -- SpongeBob is the easiest scare in Bikini Bottom, but this Halloween he aims to turn the tables and scare everyone at Mr. Krabs' party. With Patrick's help, SpongeBob devises what is sure to be the scariest costume ever. Although his costume scares no one, his presence does summon Bikini Bottom's most feared ghostly legend, The Flying Dutchmann, who is appalled by the way SpongeBob is portraying him (repeats 10-28 & 31).

* 7:30 p.m. - Catscratch/"Scaredy Cat" -- Halloween is superstitious Gordon's most dreaded day of the year! After locking himself in his room to ward off evil, Gordon grudgingly allows Blik to decorate the house. Unfortunately, when Blik turns the mansion into a giant spaceship, real aliens mistake it for their long-lost mother ship and show up to reclaim it. The three brothers must band together to defend their house, a mission made more difficult by the fact that the aliens have launched it into outer-space - with everyone inside it! (repeats 10-28)

* 8 p.m. -- The Fairly OddParents/"Scary GodParents" -- Timmy finds himself mummified in two-ply toilet paper and trick-or-treating with Vicky as his chaperone. Tired of not having a cool costume, like the Jack-O-Bots in his favorite Crash Nebula Halloween special, "Crash Nebula vs. the Pumkinator," Timmy wishes everybody's costume were "real and scary." So it goes that everyone in the world becomes the character his or her costume denotes. The bad news is the rich kids are in the Pumkinator costumes, and when Timmy's wish comes true, THEY become the Pumpkinator - a gigantic monster doomsday device that can destroy the world! Oh ... and the Yugopotamians are angry they weren't invited (repeats 10-28 & 31).

* 8:30 p.m. - Mr. Meaty/"Nosferateens" and "I Love Lizzy" - HOLIDAY PREMIERE -- Discovering a vampire hiding in the freezer, Josh and Parker decide that becoming undead is the perfect plan to get away from all the boring rules they endure working for Mr. Meaty. But they're aghast when they can't see their reflections, food has no taste and Doug's on the hunt to catch any fangheads in his mall.

* In "I Love Lizzy" Parker falls for the new employee, who's a messy eater and likes Star Raiders. Josh thinks Lizzy is pretty hot too, though, and the boys get into a game of one-upmanship, trying to impress her - a game that Parker wins. But when Josh discovers that Lizzy's really a lizard-faced alien, will his friend believe him? (repeats 10-29 & 31)

* 9 p.m. - The X's/"The Haunting of Home Base" - HOLIDAY PREMIERE -- Truman can't get enough of Halloween, but the rest of the family's unfazed by ghosts and pumpkins when they fight scarier stuff every day. So the spy kid decides to turn Home Base into a haunted house. Before long, the walls are bleeding and major appliances are becoming possessed. Worst of all, Mr. X, Mrs. X and Tuesday have turned into horrible zombies! Will Truman be able to figure out what's "haunting" his house and save his family? (repeats 10-28 & 31)

* 9:30 p.m. - Danny Phantom/"Fright Night" -- Heroic Danny battles the evil ghostly Spirit of Halloween a.k.a. Fright Knight. In an attempt to beat Dash in a haunted house decorating contest, Danny "borrows" Fright Knight's enchanted sword. When the powerful apparition arrives to retrieve his magic saber, he decides to stick around long enough to turn the real world into his own stormy realm of terror, but Danny Phantom has other ideas (repeats 10-28 & 31)

Saturday, October 28 - Five-Hour Marathon

* 2 p.m. -- The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius/"Nightmare in Retroville" - With his latest invention, the neutronic monster maker, Jimmy transforms his friends Carl and Sheen into a vampire and werewolf for Halloween, and the pair quickly mutate into real monsters. And as Vampire Carl and Wolf Man Sheen prowl the streets in search of fresh victims to indulge their carnivorous appetites, Hugh Neutron accidentally turns himself into a duck-loving version of Frankenstein's Monster. It's now up to Jimmy to reverse the effects of his invention before Carl, Sheen and Hugh wreak havoc on Retroville monster-movie-style (repeats 10-31).

* 2:30 p.m. -- CatDog/"CatDoglia" -- It's Halloween, and Cat is costumed as Duke Kahanamoku of Hawaii, while Dog dons Count Dogula garb to go trick-or- treating. Dog is bitten by Nosferacho, a Peruvian vampire tick, and turns into a vampire. Then the tick bites Lola, Rancid, the Greasers, Mervis, Dunglap and Randolph. Armed with his garlic lei, Cat heroically fights off Dog, the vampire mob and the Peruvian vampire ticks, then soaks them all in garlic juice to make them normal again.

* 3 p.m. -- Danny Phantom/"Fright Knight"

* 3:30 p.m. -- Hey, Arnold/"Arnold's Halloween" -- On a creepy Halloween night, the neighborhood comes down with alien fever when Arnold and Gerald broadcast a mock radio show, warning of a spaceship landing. Meanwhile, Helga and the gang go trick-or-treating in cool, space alien costumes. Arnold and Gerald must come to the rescue before their friends come to a spooktacular demise.

* 4 p.m. - The X's/"The Haunting of Home Base"

* 4:30 p.m. - Kappa Mikey/"The Phantom of the Soundstage" -- Sick of Mikey's pranks, Lily aligns herself with the Phantom of the Soundstage. But when the Phantom takes his evildoings too far, Lily rebels and tries to save Mikey from a career-ending prank. As Guano's raggedy old suit breaks down, he must begin to deal with the prospect of life outside his costume.

  * 5 p.m. - The Fairly OddParents/"Scary Godparents"

  * 5:30 p.m. - Catscratch/"Scaredy Cat"

* 6 p.m. -- Rugrats/ "Curse of the Werewuff" -- On "Hallowmean," the babies get lost in a haunted house, and to make matters scarier, Angelica convinces them they'll turn into whatever their costumes denote and that only she can break the spell -- if they fork over their candy. Fearing a life as a werewolf, Chuckie pleads with the other babies to give up their treats -- until he finds his inner werewuff, stands up to "Princess Angelica" and leads the babies to safety. (Repeats 10-31)

  * 6:30 p.m. SpongeBob SquarePants/"Scaredy Pants"

  Sunday TEENick Holiday Specials - October 29

* 6 p.m. - The Amanda Show - In comedy sketches Judge Trudy (Amanda Bynes) rules ridiculously on Halloween, punishing a mom who gave a trick-or-treater an apple and finding Billy (Drake Bell) innocent of egging Mr. Bulbin's house.

* 6:30 p.m. - Mr. Meaty/"Nosferateens" & "I Love Lizzie"

* 7:30 p.m. -- Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide/"Halloween" and "Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Zombies" - HALLOWEEN PREMIERE -- "Halloween" -- Ned, Moze and Cookie plan the school's scariest party ever, blowing the entire art budget on a spook-tacular Haunted Hallway. But when it comes to "trick or treat," the tween trio is no match for Principal Pal -- who they fear they kinda, sorta accidentally scared to death with special effects -- and amid Halloween high jinks, Pal proves he's a hale and hearty prankster.

* "Vampires, Werewolves, Ghosts and Zombies" -- Chills and chuckles fill James K. Polk Middle Ghoul, where being a vampire really bites for Ned. The pasty pupil must pass the "B.A.T.'s" and turn into a bat to avoid summer school, but his frightful efforts only lead to brief incarnations as a bunny and goat. Meanwhile, half-werewolf/half scaredy-cat Cookie flees from zombie bully Billy while waiting for a full moon to totally transform him. And see- through green ghost Moze wanders the halls - and walks through walls - searching for a kindred spirit. (Repeats 10-31)

* 8 p.m. - Zoey 101/"Haunted House" -- In keeping with Halloween tradition at Pacific Coast Academy, the upper school builds a haunted house for the lower school, and Logan promises that his creation will be especially scary. But when Zoey's little brother and his roommate get lost in the house, Zoey and Logan wonder if something otherworldly has taken it over. (Repeats 10-31)

* 8:30 p.m. -- Unfabulous/"The Dark Side" -- Maris and Cranberry are throwing their annual "Spook-tacular." When Geena assures Addie that Spin the Bottle doesn't have to be totally random, Addie vows not to chicken out like she did last year. (Repeats 10-31)
