Switch2Citect v1.2 - Improved Migration for Legacy Systems

SYDNEY, Australia, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The release of Switch2Citect v1.2 provides automated conversion for almost 75% of legacy SCADA systems to the reliable and flexible CitectSCADA. Four new importers for Wizcon by Axeda, WinCC by Siemens, Genesis32 by Iconics and Cimplicity by GE Fanuc add to the existing range of importers for RSView, Fix32, iFix, InTouch and FactoryLink. The latest version of Switch2Citect provides enhanced functionality, not only to migrate but also to improve the conversion of legacy systems.

In addition to the new importers available with Switch2Citect, v1.2 includes a number of enhancements which further improve the quality of conversions. For example, Switch2Citect can now import bitmaps from the legacy system and turn these into symbols inside CitectSCADA. These symbols are automatically used and re-used in the page conversion process. No longer do users have to edit multiple pages in their old system each time an image changes.
